Hi!
It's been a long time since I write to this blog.
Now I'm pleased to announce my first landscape photography book: Verso l'orizzonte.

someone knows about my passion for the photography world. I love to take photos of my places and naturalistic landscapes and even my equipment is for turists I'll do my best to gain experience and correct errors any time I take a snapshot.

It's been a long time since I've released something that smells of software :D
Tonight I' glad to release a small midlet (obviously GPLv3) that is a phonebook with encryption for your cellphone.
SecurePhonebook is a J2ME software so you can use it on your java2 cellphone. I use it in my Nokia 5000 and it seems to work well.

The software is beta so just play with it... and I'm not responsible of any damage and I don't assure the data security. The encryption is password based (DON'T USE THE DEFAULT PASSWORD) and the algorithm is that: http://www.winterwell.com/software/TEA.php

I've developed this midlet... that is my first midlet in one evening so don't think that is well coded... it's not Y_Y

Hi,
basically when I'm not studying I do some programming but software is not the only thing I love to do in my spare time!

I love to walk through my woods and mountains and take photos of the landscapes (also carving wood and play tin whistle, cooking, reading... and more! :D ).

I've uploaded some photos on picasa and panoramio (here you can see some landscapes of the mountains and woods near home).

I'm also starting to trace some small paths in Scodanibbio woods with my brother's GPS to assemble a map :)

So no softwares and tutorials this time... but enjoy the pictures

Providing the full path of a file like

it returns

The earthquake was an experience that we havent never seen.
Preparation and lots lots lots lots of fortune has made me, my brother and other peoples alive.
But many peoples have lost everything. Also their life.

But lots of peoples now need help. Don't trust of sites born by stupid peoples.
To help with money the victims of earthquake go to governative sites and look for SMS number or bank account to donate.

Now I'm far from l'Aquila but we have to continue to help the victims of the 6 April still alive.

JKeyring released!!

Hi!
I'm really pleased to release JKeyring.
JKeyring is a password manager written in Java with the goal to make you able to travel with your password and use them in security respect to keyloggers.

With JKR you are able to create an encrypted keyring and requesting password that will be stored to your clipboard.
Simply paste them on the login field and clear the clipboard.
Keyloggers will take only the CTRL+V :P

JKR is released under the GPL3

I'm not responsible to any problem related the use of JKeyring, even password stolen! Use this and use the brain!

Hi!

I'm pleased to release an extremely simple archivier for filenames that helps you when you have lots of backup DVDs and you have to search into them to find a file.

Whith this script you can make a rapid archive of all the files and directories of your medias and search into this archive to find the dvd where files are stored.

When you download the script, remember to set the correct permissions

$ chmod 0755 detectfile.sh

Here follows an example of usage

let's make the archives for all the dvds

bash-3.1$ pmount /dev/cdrom
bash-3.1$ ./detectfile.sh -c /media/cdrom/ dvdbackup1
bash-3.1$ pumount /dev/cdrom

bash-3.1$ pmount /dev/cdrom
bash-3.1$ ./detectfile.sh -c /media/cdrom/ dvdbackup2

let's search for file named Bilbo

Salve,

sono lieto di annunciarvi il rilascio del mio primo DVD Game "La grotta di Bosco del Nibbio". Per questo rilascio ho prodotto una avventura di esplorazione come avvenne per Colossal Cave (ma neanche minimamente paragonabile ad esso).

Per godere a pieno del gioco è sufficiente scaricare la iso e masterizzarla su un DVD.

Inserire il supporto nel lettore e, muniti di telecomando, carta e penna provare a districarsi nei corridoi di un maze vecchio stile.

In definitiva La Grotta di Bosco del Nibbio è una avventura di orientamento e disegno delle mappe.

Il gioco è completamente in italiano e saranno solo le mie parole a guidare il giocatore nei sentieri e ovunque egli possa e voglia andare.

Godetevi nella mente il paesaggio e non dimenticate di divertirvi ;)

A.U.T.O. alpha stage released!

Hi!
I'm really proud to share with you all the alpha demo of a new game that I've programmed.

The graphic of this game is made by my friend "Void"

A.U.T.O. (Accelerate Until the Time is Over) is a 2D Racing game developed with SDL and available for GNU/Linux , Windows and other systems that support SDL libraries.

For this release you know that is only an alpha stage and it's really far from the 1.0 result but I think that maybe I can give you 5 minutes of fun!!!

Don't give up to the first bend :D the game is a bit hard on the beginning but you can take it in full throttle when you are experienced.

THIS DEMO IS DEVELOPED IN 4 DAYS!!! AND THE CODE IS TERRIFIC :D it's not c++ and it's not well written C. But I'm so busy and I had only the weekend to make something that works.

Quasi-Random Access Dynamic Array

Hi!

I've written a paper to explain a tecnique that comes in my mind in the previous weekend.

It's concerned a system to make dynamic arrays composed by a list of static arrays.

As you will see in the first step you create ad array large enough to contain all your datas. When you extend the array a new node with the array extension is been created.

In this way you prevent to reallocate a new large array every time and copy all the existing datas on it.

A c++ implementation will follow ASAP

A lex exercise (memo2html)

I've tried to invent an exercise to take practice with lex.
Here is the result.
We can say that is more a micro-parser than a lexer.
It use a grammar to parse a simple tag language that describes a telephone memo and generate an html page to format it better.

Generic List [C]

Hi!
I've written a C code that implements a list usable with generic types.
To use this list you have to declare in an enum the types that you want to store in the list ad so you can arrive to generate mixed lists.

In the example I make tha case that you have a list with inside an int, a float and a struct Speed item.

If you want to use this generic list code you have to know that the code i really basic and not tested hard. Probably you have to extend him to your needs.

In the tar you will find also an example of using fully commented.

My GB was just an experiment of php before I made the cms for my blog ( see ToyLog in the Software section)
A GB like mine is really basic so I post here only the source of the gbpost.php file.

POST FILE SOURCE CODE

You have to create the file post.php with this code personalized and the file Guestbook.txt containing an introduction where next the user comments follows.
The GB returns a mail with some info.

Thanks to conraid that makes ksip tgz package and to Loris that upload it, you can download KSlacky InfoPkg directly from Slacky Repository.

Conraid also says to me that he wants to upload an i686 package on Slackers.it
Slackers.it is a new site dedicated to Slackware and "the slack" philosophy.
This site has many complements to Slacky such as i686 packages and downloadble pdf of wikislacky documents.

Qfold released! (GNU/GPLv3)

Qfold is a Qt4 reimplementation of fold(1).
With Qfold you can format text in n-columns ascii text and optionally convert accents like
"è " in "e' " and tabs in " " (4 spaces).
Optionally you can choose to don't cut words.

KSIP and Weblog update

I've found the time yesterday to add to my weblog a feed RSS to make easier to control new posts.
The url of the rss feed is http://polystream.altervista.org/rss.php and you can control the feed, for example, directly with your browser (Firefox and Seamonkey natively support the feed reader) or by a dedicated software like akgregator (for KDE users) or shownews / newsbeuter (for console users).

The second update I've made is on KSlacky InfoPkg. I've released the test version of the 1.6.2 that improve the search and introduce the info button that calculate the total size of your slack packages and the biggest tgz in your system.

Bliz Multifile Steganography System

I've written the specs for a steganography system.
With this specs you can build a steganography system that allow the user to encode/decode in an image up to 3 different ascii messages.

The steganography is an encryption system that insert datas to be hidden in an image, so you can preserve in your disk an innocent image that contains a message inside :)

The BMS2 (Bliz Multifile Steganography System) spec is released under the Creative commons licence.

Funny lisp code!

Hi!
Today I want to post a funny code... funny for me that I'm a lisp newbie.
Yesterday I'm starting learning lisp for pleasure.
Today in my strange brain jumps the idea to implement a mergesort.
I started the coding and all seems to be nice.
Since the last function where I take lots of strange behaviors.
The strange thing is that the program duplicate some numbers
{5,4,3,2,1} --a kind of-->{1,22,3333,4444,5}
Why?????
Let's change the method!
In the change I add some recursion to make this mergesort style

(setq C (g_mergesort (g_firsthalf A M)))
(setq D (g_mergesort (g_secondhalf A M)))
(g_merge C D) )

but when I write the C assignment I launch a test with the previous mergesort system.
The code looks like this

I'm pleased to release the 1.5 version of KSIP that provide full Qt4 code.
From the 1.5 KSIP will be implemented without KDE4 code, so you can also run the tool if you don't have kde installed on your system.

First of all I want to introduce danix that is the project web designer and packager(when ksip will be stable).
He is doing a great work on the ksip official site and soon may be usable.

I'm pleased to release the first beta version of KSlacky InfoPkg.
KSIP is an information tool that shows information on packages installed on your Slackware and provide a GUI wrapper for package managment offered by pkgtool.
The software is designed for Qt4/KDE4 and provide a full transparent user approach to package management of the system.

The program is still far to be complete, I have to correct the design of the user interface as suggested by alessiodf (www.slacky.eu community member).
Thanks to pinotree (#kde-devel-it user on irc.freenode.org) that explain to me a design concept to use ui files.
Thanks also to ksniffer (www.slacky.eu community member) that is my mentor in kde4 discovering ^_^

OpenSource document: new Release!

I've released a new version of the document: Open Source, Free Software & GNU/Linux after a revision by Slacky members.
There are few major changes.
The first is on the extension of the document to contain the Creative Commons Licence and the Thanks to section.
The second is the corrections of the hacker and UNIX note.
Follows few grammar corrections.

The title is "Why don't you use GNU/linux?"
in the possible choices some are false and some are true. Many peoples thinks some features of this OS that are false or maybe true 20 years ago :)

Hi!
I'm pleased to release the first version of my new program.
It's a screen saver for linux console (it works at the best on frame buffer console) that shows the tipical Matrix code.
The name is Matricurses
It use ncurses, so if you wanto to compile it, you have to run
$ gcc -o matricurses -lncurses matrix.c

It's released under the GPLv3 .
In the package you'll find the source code, a i486 binary to run it on the fly if you have an i486 machine and a Slackware package tgz, to install on your slackware :D .

Hi,
Few minutes ago I've released the 0.3 version of CCM (CCM is a Console Mediacenter).
This new version features are the dvd chapter selection and the cdaudio track selection.

Actually the 0.3 version is for *nix(GNU/Linux & co.) systems only... Windows XP version will come!... I hope!

This new release implements the CD Audio reproduction in a way similar to DVD reproduction (perfectly editable with the cdoptions.py script).

I'm pleased to release the beta version of CCM (CCM is a Console Mediacenter).
As you can see in the acronymous ccm is a mediacenter designed for who doesn't want to run X server and manage his favourite media.
It's written in python and requires mplayer to work!
(This is my first python script.... so forgive many mistakes)

Hi,
I've inserted the donation to my projects on sourceforge.net.
This initiative is taken because if anyone that like my works (softwares, tutorials etc...) want to donate something he can do that in a simple way.
Now I develop Open Source and Free Software for passion... and I continue if I can with or without donations and my software continue to be free. Actually I've not planned to live with the fees of my softwares (because I've not the time to develop commercia applications and because I like the philosophy of the free software or the OpenSource).
In this way if you make a donation, you don't donate to a specifically project but you donate globally to the work that I release in the net. The choice of the project to donate is based on a percent that I devolve to other projects.
For example:
You like a lot my tutorials or my shell and you want to donate me 10$ then you can choice if you open the donation page of BohShell and I will donate the 5% of your 10$ to Sourceforge or open the donation page of GMPlayer and I will donate the 10% of your 10$ to the Open Source Initiative.
With this principe, when I make another project to sourceforge I will activate the donations and maybe you will devolve 10% of your 10$ to GNOME... so with donations to me you donate a part of your donation to another project! So choice accurately.

ACTUALLY DONATIONS ARE:
BohShell Project (5% of your donations are devolved to Sourceforge.net)
GMPlayer Project (10% of your donations are devolved to Open Source Initiative )

R.A.T. (Rescue Allocation Table) v0.1 Released!

Hi!
I'm pleased to release the first beta version of R.A.T. (Rescue Allocation Table).

This software allow the user to backup the first n bytes of a partition (the file allocation table).
With this backup, the user can restore the allocation table in future and try to recover deleted files. The software is only for GNU/Linux.

This software is a beta and I'm not responsible for any damage caused by R.A.T.

I've lots of work to do! lots of features to implement... so don't consider that as a stable version (0.1 is selfsignificant :P ).

The sotware is under the GPL license

I've developed lots of software that I've not uploaded here...

BlizCypher Beta1 is a file encrypter/decrypter written in Visual Basic .NET 2003

PWDMan is a password manager to use in internet cafè etc... to avoid keyloggers... written in Visual Basic.NET 2003

DamnKeylogger is a paper (in Italian) that describe the development of a small keylogger (section Paper & Tutorials)

Secure Delete is a Linux small software used to delete files first overwriting them.
If you have a journaled filesystem probably the files are recoverable.

GateDisk Suite RELEASED!

I'm pleased to release the first version of the GateDisk Suite.

The GateDisk suite is a combo of 2 programs and a couple of scripts used in GNU/Linux systems to make a disk authentication during the initialization phase.

Before the login the program control if a specific GateDisk(created with the keygenerator) is in the drive.
If the disk miss or is not correct the system shutdown.

I'm not responsible for any damage caused by this suite!!!!!!

New Version of the Backup script for bash

Hi!

I've released another version of the backup script to make a backup of a folder directly to a cdrom.

Now the script after the burning process compress the iso generated and move it in a folder that you choose. In this way you can store continuouly a copy of the backup in the harddisk.
You can downlod the new version simply click on Backup.sh in the menu "Software" on the right

I've written a very very simple bash shell script to make a backup of a directory in a CDROM.

You have to download the script and edit some parameters.
After that you can use the script in this way
~# ./backup nome_backup_file

It automatically write the datas in a cdrom.

BFT is a java based software that is developed to help sys admin to protect the users.

Password is an actual problem! With this software you can create a list of users and a list of weak passord like (123,qwerty,hello) and test the users.
If an user have a weak password BFT try to send him a mail with a warning message for the password changing.

I'm pleased to release a small java utility and a small paper.
The java utility is HideMe and it's a small encrypt/decrypt program only for text files.
The system is not so strong... so don't encode you credit card number with it!!!!!

The title is "C al galoppo" and it's a little introduction to the C preprocessor.

This is my persona web site... or better... this is the home page of my personal web site.

I've lots of unlinked pages on the net that allow you to download software and papers that I've written.
Too bad! With this home page I've decided to make a bit order in my software distribution and also make an official space to publish all the news regarding the current software that is in development.

You can also go to the Forum to discuss problems of my software, give advices or simply write your impressions about the programs that you've downloaded.

Most of the software that I've developed are free and some open source... try them!

If I've the time I continue to add more details to the site... but I prefere to develop software!
